Anyone who needs or wants support to make progress toward a lifestyle or fitness goal. These goals might include: body recomposition; entering (and completing) a fitness event; to move with less pain and restriction; to keep up with your kids/grandkids; to feel strong and empowered.
Having a coach who knows you, understands you and wants to see you succeed is one of the best ways to make your goals a reality. I can help you to unpick what you need to do to to fulfill your potential. We will agree actionable changes that will actually help move you closer to achieving your goals. Your health and longevity are impacted by your everyday actions, investing your time into finding the best and most sustainable approach to being active and leading a healthful lifestyle can set you up for life.
If you are a highly disciplined individual who can follow a program designed for you, without someone there to guide you through every movement, then online programming will be a great fit. You will be autonomous but also have the best support and guidance to steer you in the right direction.
If you want or need in-person support, to get you to the gym in the first place, or to have confidence in what you are doing in the gym then 1:1 coaching will help you to fly.
If you need some support, but like to have some autonomy, small group in-person coaching or a hybrid of in-person and online programming may be the best middle ground for you.
We will have an in-depth initial consultation where I take the time to hear about your goals, your current routine (or lack of!), your training history. If you choose in-person coaching, we will spend the majority of time of our first few sessions exploring movement and how your body responds. When I know your body, we can approach your training with a much more specific approach. There's no one best way to approach strength and fitness, and I'm passionate about finding the way that works for you!
Your training programming is delivered through an app, MyPTHub, where you will have your personalised program and other personal lifestyle habits to track. Check-ins are initiated with a feedback form that you can fill out prior to our video or phone call (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly).
I have been coaching for 10 years. Since having my first son in 2020, my journey in coaching and exploring my own fitness has completely pivoted. Once upon a time I thought that pushing my body to the limit was the best way to improve my strength & fitness; I was in my early twenties and so my body withstood this stress, but what I could tolerate changed once I became a mother. I grew a new appreciation for my body and what it was capable of both inside and outside of the gym, and so my interest in the female physiology and how best to support it blossomed and led me down the path of an 'inside out' approach. I now incorporate breathwork with resistance training, and use careful positioning to create greater bodily awareness and deeper connection with the body. I know understand a lot more clearly that many of us need adjustments to even the most familiar movements, small tweaks that can make a world of difference to how effective the movement is for you. I live, breathe and love fitness and movement, I love seeing the emotions that my clients go through in their journeys; I know that each revelation about their body is one step closer to them achieving autonomy in their training.
